MWWC Club President
The President is the principle leader of the Manawatū-Whanganui Weightlifting Club and has overall responsibility for the Manawatū Whanganui Weightlifting Club’s administration.
The President sets overall Annual Committee Agenda (AGM) consistent with the views of members, helps the committee prioritize its goals and then keeps the committee on track by working within the framework of the MWWC governing Constitution and operating Policies or regulations.

MWWC Vice President
The role of the Vice President is to shadow the President in providing leadership and responsibility for the Manawatū- Whanganui Weightlifting Club and the Executive Committee.
The Vice President will step into the President’s roles of helping the committee prioritize its goals and keep the committee on track by working within the framework of the MWWC governing Constitution and operating Policies or regulations where needed.

MWWC Athlete Delegate
As an “athlete centered” organization, decisions should include the very people they serve as their members. This position provides a formal process/way to bring forward athlete ideas and concerns to the executive committee, and be part of ensuring fully informed decisions are made.

MWWC Committee Positions
MWWC Events Coordinator
The role of the Event Coordinator is to provide the coordinated delivery of multiple events through managing client and organizational requirements, planning and logistics, and providing a high quality of service for internal and external WNZ and Weightlifting customers.
The Event Coordinator will be required to:
● Build and maintain relationships with a range of national and international clients, internal staff, and external suppliers to ensure the organization meets client and stakeholder expectations to agreed service standards.
● Monitor and manage event financials alongside with the club treasurer.

MWWC Child & Vulnerable Persons Officer
All clubs with young members (U18) and/or vulnerable adults must have and utilize an appointed Children and Vulnerable Protection Officer and a Designated Liaison person (Club President) within their club.
The Child Protection officer sits on the committee, and with the committee will ‘champion’ good practice and make sure club policies and procedures are put in place.

MWWC Affiliated Coach
MWWC Club Coaches report to the Executive Committee and when appropriate Child Protection Officer. You will be responsible for coaching and assisting financially associated athletes during and outside competitions to a standard of excellence that will compete at regional, national or international levels, enhancing the reputation of the MWWC, Weightlifting New Zealand and the International Weightlifting Federations.
MWWC Club Coaches lead MWWC athletes to maximize their performance in all aspects of weightlifting. In partnership with the Executive Committee the Coach will support the development and delivery of weightlifting in a multi-cultural and responsive environment that provides a best practice for athletes to develop and reach their fullest potential. MWWC Club Coaches work in partnership with the Executive Committee to provide guidance and expertise in the identification and development of players in the High-Performance Pathway and National Programs.
